I got the information on this french website. This is a pretty good website but it has not been updated for a long time. I tried to search quickly the exact page but I could not find out.

Concerning "La femme d'argent", I think I had heard it was somehow linked with an old french movie. I'll try to find out more on this.

About "Amour Imagination Rêve". I've read in a French book about Air, it says :
"Air. Il y a trois lettres dans ce mot : A pour Amour, I pour Imagination, R pour rêve." Jean-Benoît Dunck, l'un des deux cerveaux de Air, a bien résumé son oeuvre.

Translation : "JB, one of the two brains of Air has summed up his work in a good way".

Yes, it's that book. But I don't think it's possible to find a France anymore, I can't find any books of this collection, I would like to buy the one about Sonic Youth but I don't find them, though once a time there a lot of these out there. Moreover, this book is not updated, it finishes with the release of Everybody hertz.

Dirty Thib wrote:I've read that Nicolas wanted the name Air because of the aesthetic of the word, the power of its image. I've read that the letters AIR stand for Amour Imagination Rêve. I don't know for LA FEMME D'ARGENT.

Nicolas said in an interview that "Amour Imagination Rêve" is a myth.

I like to think of Bach though... Since they're both Bach fans... "Air"...
"I said to Air, ‘For me, it’s as important as the music.’ And they said, ‘For us, it’s less important. The music comes first.’"
